Not sure I would want to live next to convicted felons either. Also the things that pass for "sex offender" these days make it really hard to separate the true creepers (guy in a dirty van luering children in from a play ground with candy or kittens) from the guy that was 22 that slept with a 17 year old or all the DV guys whos women went crazy but they got slapped with sex offender because his hand touched her boob during the altercation, oh and lets not forget drunken consentual sex between 2 of age people and of course the guy is the "rapist" even though they are both under the influance, because of course after the encounter when she finds out he is ugly it suddenly becomes rape. I would surmise that the vast majority that make up anchorages crime stats are the later not the former.

I would bet my monthly gambling budget that the ratio was 10/1 (bogus "sex offender"/lagit child molester creeper or ski mask guy breaking into a womans appartment).

It paints an intellectually dishonest picture.

Rance kicked him out. He was pretending to be all religious and everything and trying to meet families with kids.

I will say, though, that I used to live between two convicted felons (not sex offenders) and never felt unsafe for a minute even though they both had all sorts of firearms they weren't supposed to have. I'd rather live near those types than freaks trying to hide their true selves behind religion. I would have shot any SOB that came around my offspring with untoward ideas and fed his ass to the grizzlies.
