This is simply a gorgeous older home. It dates from the 1950s but was rehabbed and enlarged about 20 years ago. If you love mid-century architecture and furnishings, this will be a treat.
The house’s setting is also lovely. And the glass surfaces allow the setting to become a part of the design. Enjoy.
A lot of the rooms in the pictures seem like well lit corridors, not sure about the rest of the house. It doesn't feel completely MidCentury somehow. The exterior seems it was done by someone who was used to designing a balanced house design and this was an early attempt to do the unbalanced MidCentury style. It has an awkward feel to it, sort of if it's not comfortable with itself.

I think 20 years ago someone screwed up what may have been a nice 1950s house. Bummer!

not my style but very nice. There was a MCM house for sale here (NH) a while back. First listing, it appeared untouched. Gorgeous flat birch paneling everywhere. Apparently it didn't sell, it went off the market, came back on, the only photos were of a remodeled kitchen. I was always afraid they had wrecked the rest of the house. It did eventually sell.
Had to stop reading halfway through due to the INCREDIBLY INTRUSIVE video playing right across the lower half of the screen. But it just looks like every other "opened up and expanded" remuddle.
