I would like to move from Omaha Ne, (freezing here)to somewhere in the southwest. (warm) Arizona sounds good. I am a pre-kindergarten para,(teachers aide) and love my job, would like to do the same there. I would like to know what areas are hiring, and the safest places to live. can anyone give me good advice?

Have you ever visited Arizona? It is a wonderful state but very different from Nebraska.

Arizona is a wonderful state. There are many different cities and towns. Many different environments and elevations. You have a lot of options. I'd do a bit of research on some of the larger cities and towns, and then narrow it down from there. Here's a good starting point (in no particular order):
Phoenix metro, Tucson metro, Sierra Vista, Yuma, Kingman, Prescott, Flagstaff, Cottonwood/Verde Valley, Casa Grande, Lake Havasu City, Payson, Showlow, Wickenburg, etc. There are many more. Make a short list, then come back and ask specific questions. Or use the "search" feature at the top of the page to see if someone else has already asked the questions.
Good luck!

AZ is very different depending on where you go.
If you live in the valley you will have mild winters but hot summers.
We live at 5400' in Prescott with lots of trees and have 4 seasons with very little snow in the winter.
You really need to visit and see for yourself where you would like it.
Elevation is the key if you don't want hot Summers.

I was sick of the cold, that's why I moved from Minnesota to the Phoenix area. Though it's quite interesting to me that the heat kind of just goes on and on. It's November and it's gonna be 92 in a day or two again after having been in the high 70s/low 80s for a bit. I don't know if this year is an odd year, but regardless. I really like the heat much better than the cold, but I guess I never thought 90-something in November was possible.

I can remember when we came down From Wa (Whidbey Island) at Thanksgiving to visit the kids in Phoenix in the mid 90s. The temps started hitting the high 80s to the low 90s and we had the A/C on in the rental car and they were complaining about it being cold in the car.
Being from WA, if it hit mid 80s there it was really warm to us. The kids did not understand.
