I have a visitor coming out of US, he has International driving permit(IDP), can he drive my car ? Is their any AZ law related to this ?

Is their anyways he can get an Auto insurance for 3-4 weeks ?

Umm, I'd call my insurance company and ask them that question. Then get it in writing, if they say yes, he is insured.

I would think he is permitted to drive it with that license/permit.

Auto insurance is on the car, not the person. Check with your insurance agent to see if there is coverage on your car with him driving it.

Auto insurance follows the vehicle. If you have coverage, so does he.

An IDP is not needed. It's not a 'permit' at all. It's a convenience - a translation of a home country license into several languages.

If your friend has a license from his home country, all he need do is carry it and his passport. This is an international treaty and is the reason you can go to europe/canada/the bahamas and rent a car without issue. Same here for visitors.
