I know this question has been asked time and time again, but my family and I are considering moving to Colorado springs, while I and my husband have been there for vacation, but have never lived there. We have a 19 month old and a little one on the way. We both are Arizona Natives, we both grew up in Chandler, as much as I love the city, because it's my home town, I think we are ready for a change. The hard part is both of our families live here, so I want someone to convince me why I should move there, because I could tell you hundreds of reasons I should leave AZ haha! Thank for the input.

I left after 15, or was it 16 "summers." I couldn't handle the intense heat months on end. And, traffic, though relative to where you came from. I found it much ruder than when I moved there, too. Ick. But, I miss Arizona, too. I find the desert magical, the wide open roads, freedom like no place else. Open minded people... I guess I'm not one to convince you that much!! Good luck.

If you already have hundreds of reasons why you should leave, why do you need to be "convinced"? If it is financially feasible for you to uproot your family, and you have those hundreds of reasons, then you should go. CS is not that far away in terms of visits to/from family. Seems pretty simple.

If you want to be convinced to move to Colorado Springs, you should have posted in that forum where people know about that area. I'm not sure I understand the point of asking in the Arizona forum.

When I was 19 I move from Az to Colo Springs. I had grown up here in AZ and was excited about the move. The city and area is beautiful and has so much going for it.

I lasted 6 months. Not sure if it was an especially cold winter or I just wasn't prepared for it ( I wasn't) but I thought I would freeze to death before I got back to AZ....not to mention I lost 40 lbs because I was away from my moms great cooking.

Would I recommend Colo Springs???

Sure, if you can stand the cold.....I cant.
