Default Anywhere but Phx metro

Hi Jennifer,

I would suggest anywhere but the phx and tucson area. It must be north like Prescott and higher. I would take a map of AZ and look up a bunch of towns on weather channel.com. That will give you an idea. If you want to be within a 100 miles of phx then look at Prescott. It's very pretty up there and a bit cooler. I thought about moving there once. Or maybe Payson. There are a lot of nice little towns in AZ. And once you get ideas come on out and explore to see what you like. Good luck!

Okaaaaay. Not sure if Arizona should be at the top of your prospects. Why not just move to Colorado?

Default Prescott weather is tops

Hi Jennifer,

My wife and I researched weather.com for the best weather in the US. Southern California is probably the best, but the housing prices are outlandish We came upon the Prescott area which sits at about 5,000 feet in elevation. The elevation offsets the unbearable heat of the low desert (i.e., Phoenix). The summers here are in the 80's and 90's. The winters are in the 50's (during the day). It snows, but the snow usually does not stick to the roads and it usually melts the same day. We played golf this weekend in shorts and short-sleeves

Sedona is beautiful. The weather is about 7 degrees warmer (since it's lower elevation). The housing prices are almost as high as Southern California though.

Flagstaff was too cold for us. It's about 7,000 feet.

Cheers,
Brian

The nicest weather... when?

In three seasons of the year it would easily be the central valley or Tucson.

In the summer it's going to be up on the rim. Summers are great in Flagstaff and the White Mountains. Winters there are a *itch though.

Middling would be as pointed out above and include Cottonwood along with Sedona, Camp Verde and Prescott. Safford, maybe.
