Anybody out there have the combination 'Veteran' & 'Disabled' (logo) custom license plate? Are you glad you got it with both identifiers on it? Regret it? I need to register my vehicle and as a disabled veteran I know I want the 'Veteran' nomenclature, but am unsure on adding the handicapped logo. I currently use a placard on my rear view. I'm not certain why I have such hesitation on this: maybe I don't want to be so neatly defined or stereotyped..? Also, I'm still (fairly) young, so maybe that's a factor..? I welcome your thoughts.

One of my sons had Cerebral Palsy so we have a place card to hang on the mirror. They originally gave us a choice of plates or a place card. I chose the place card because you can use it in all of your cars along with rentals. You can't do that with plates. Since we have traveled many times the place card is more usable. The plates make that car the only usable car for handicapped parking. So if it in for repairs or you need to use another car you don't have use of the privileges.

Thanks, sickofIL...an excellent point. However, my current placard is good for at least another 13 months, and I would have no problem getting another. I was more concerned about something much simpler, I think. I'll flip a coin when the time comes. Thanks again!

[Mod cut- rude]
I currently have W/C (wheel chair) plates on three vehicles and a placard which renews periodically. When traveling, borrowing, renting, or otherwise you need a placard. Moving it from vehicle to vehicle is an unnecessary PITA, so I just have both.
