I see there is probably three routes to take here, either of the 95's or 93. An hour one way or the other isn't that much of a big deal. Anything interesting along either of these 95's to make it worth it? Better scenery?

Any suggestions for either roads or what there is to stop and see, it's hard to find those hidden gems.

Well the other alternative is a tad east on the 40. In Seligman take the 2nd exit and south on Williams Valley road if you are comfy on partial dirt road and down and out through Yarnel and Congress.
Or into Ashfork and South towards Prescott and just south of the Airport catch the express way East to bypass Prescott and Prescott Valley.
Another variation is continue south on the 93 into Wickenburg at the first light there is a convenience store this will be Vulture Mine road and can take it south and it comes out to Indian School road where you go east to 339th ave and south to get on I 10 East bound.

Kingman to Wikieup aprox 45 minutes -1 hour drive another hour gets you into Wickenburg next hour into Phoenix if you don't take side trips.

if you're not in a hurry, stop by jerome (rte 89a). it's a hidden gem, way way off the beaten path tho

95 thru searchlight is going to be BORING, it's a whole lotta nothing.

93 is more direct. if you're into checking out good junk yards, 93 is the spot for you. my hubby & fil drool every time we go down that road. they are antique car buffs & it is pure heaven for them.

No motorcycles for this guy although I'd probably have one if I lived there. This is a trip my parents are making and I already warned them about gassing up when they get down to half a tank or if there is really long stretch like this one. I was out there years ago and besides making sure you have gas I know the cost can be outrageaus in some places. Think it was $2.50 average when we went and around Death Valley and the Pacific Coast highway they wanted $4.50

It's been awhile since you were last there.

93 through Wickenburg to Kingman to Vegas is the fastest direct route.
If you have time and want some scenery and interesting stops take I-17 to Flagstaff then I-40 to Kingman then up to Vegas.
If you go North toward Flagstaff then you might want to divert over to scenic Sedona and Oakcreek Canyon then north to I-40 and then drive west over toward Kingman and up to Vegas.

Agreed and most of 93 is now 4 lane.

There are routes that take you through/near the Hoover Dam. Driving to LV is easy-peasy no matter which route you take. We love the back roads and usually make incredible driving time. You have to be mindful of buying gas before you need it - as gas stations are sometimes few and far between.

Personally, I love the two-lane winding roads with no speed limit signs. The better to zoom-zoom in the sports car

After leaving Nevada:
* South on 93 through Kingman
* East on I40
* Exit at Ash Fork and head south on 89
* East on 89A
* Exit at Fain Road and go south
* East on 69
* South on I17 into Phoenix

This isn't the fastest route, but it's a lot more scenic, and there really aren't any bad roads. The only two lane road is highway 89 from Ash Fork to the 89A junction ... but I understand that stretch will be widened in time.
