What we know about Obama? He sit with Michelle and his kids in a church of hatred for 20 years.Black liberation thealogy , communist, and terrorist and hamas friends.He was campaining in Kenya for his muslim brother Odinga,who was killing christians in churches.Resco, Farakhan, Eyers ,James H Cone ,Sinclair, etc.Something is wrong with the democratic party for thinking that this guy is electable for president of the USA.If hussein Obama is the commender in chief how long before Odinga, and Iran and all 57 muslim states will have our American nuclear weapons?

I agree with you. I don't want our country to become a socialist country, which it will if he is elected. I hope Americans wake up and realize what his true ideology is: Marxism.

I'm sorry but, Obama, has been proven, to many times to be a liar.

t also appears there are all kinds of new excuses for lying that makes it okay. I was tired, so I just imagined that I was held down by sniper fire for three hours. Who would win for the "BEST LIAR" AWARD? You can listen to several quotes today and listen to them being contradicted tomorrow. It's as if the truth changed between various live audiences and they forgot that the whole country can hear them lie over and over again. The thing that amazes me is that the public doesn't appear to care. All that matters is that they support the right weird agendas. The really FUNNY thing is that many of their supporters don't support all the agendas, but their pet agenda is on the list.

I realize that the Democrats are still in their Primary, but why is Obama in this Primary or any other race for office? I'll just say that I'll pray for our country and whoever is elected to office. I'll also say that I think this is yet another sign of the WRATH to come. We shouldn't be so naive as to think that our country is the only one with BIG PROBLEMS! In reality, our part of the world represents the last to FALL so low.
~~~~~~~~~
What I'd really like to know is why, Obama criticizes McCain's position on military scholarships because the Obama-nation never served in uniform.
By the way, I'd vote for Joe Arpaio for governor too.
Illegal immigrants don't usually pay taxes and will obviously be a non-issue in this program.
I have to disagree. An increase in the capital gains tax will affect EVERYONE who has investments in some way. Some smaller investors make semi frequent changes in their investment potfolios, which requires trading. The tax on any kind of proft made through a stock/mutual fund trade is high enough as it is. Think about how much MORE the average investor/trader will have to shell out to the Feds if Obama's tax increase goes through. It will hurt them more than the "wealthy" guys. If it were me, I would eliminate the capital gains tax completely!
The so called "health care reform" that the Democrats favor amounts to socialism of the health care system. You claim that it would benefit the vast majority of Americans. I highly doubt it would help me. I'm not exactly rolling in the dough, nor am I free of health problems ... but I have an excellent medical benefits program through my company, and a good doctor. I can't begin to tell you how many well established doctors are DREADING any kind of a universal health care program. They're overly burdened with regulations as it is. Socializing the system would only add to the bureaucratic/red tape nightmare.
This is where I agree with you. I used to be a very strong Republican. In fact, I was probably the strongest in 1994 when the Republicans took over both houses. I was really optimistic about the Contract with America, and the reduction of taxes & spending that were proposed. The balanced budget became reality in 1998, as a coordinated effort between Clinton & the Congress, which I was happy with. However, most everything else in the Contract never became reality.
I became a Libertarian a few years ago because the Republican party has basically evolved into clan of big spenders who are in favor of give away programs (disguised as tax credits). At the same time, they have abandoned their stance on less government in our lives when they passed the Patriot Act. Then they vote in favor of ridiculous laws that concern marriage, abortion, and other PRIVATE matters that are none of their business.
I am supporting McCain because he's NOT a clone of Bush. He has made it very clear (in 2000 and recently) that he disagrees with Bush on some key issues. He's really more of a fiscal conservative, while Bush spends government money like a drunken sailor. McCain also has distanced himself from Bush on some social issues like marriage and abortion.
Alright fellow native, I don't know how you do that cool multi-quoting thing, so I'll try and be coherent!
First, capital gains affect high level investors and brokers on a daily basis, if not hourly. Most 401Ks and other index and mutual funds are only periodically adjusted to weed out bad stocks and bring in others, but not even the same ball park. YES, there would be a slight cost to you (I'm guessing) and me, as average investors, but more importantly this deincentivises the kind of exploitation that led to large-scale margin options trading and the sub-prime market crash. I would rather my house was still steadily increasing in value right now than that my Roth IRA was worth .5% more this year!
Second, I am deeply involved in health care and public policy, and I assure you that most doctors (family docs more than specialists) are NOT against the Clinton/Obama plan (Yes, I concede he totally ripped it off). Medicare is paying less and less, and 3rd party insurance is following suit. With fewer people able to afford basic health care, primary care doctors are finding it harder to pay their bills. The universal health care proposal IS better than the current ramshackle system and it's better for US, as some of the few who are well-insured because it keeps our kids from contracting Hep A from some poor family at Costco who couldn't afford to have a routine checkup and get diagnosed and treated in time. No amount of money will buy health insurance that will keep the poor and diseased away from you and your family.
Finally, good for you, native for being true to your beliefs and not beholden to some party ideology. I had a similar transformation from registered Democrat to conscientious Independent a while back. I respect your views, and I can't say I completely disagree with you that there are costs, especially to people who are making it under the current arrangement, myself included. Obama is very explicit about the costs, but also reminds us that without some sacrifices on the part of average americans we could not have kicked the Depression, the Nazis, or communism. We sure as hell aren't going to beat back our military adversaries or our spiraling debt without sacrifice, contrary to the "tax-cut and spend" bad math tauted in Washington these days. No doubt, McCain is better than Bush on many fronts, but he gives us no real solutions, only more treading water while the Chinese and the OPEC nations eat our lunch. Like Goldwater before him, McCain's about 20 years late for his date with the white house, and she's not waiting around for him to join us in the 21st century.
Default Napalitano as Obama's VP
I'm down in Tucson - Hillary country. We felt it was an insult to us that Bimbo Napalitano had the audacity to endorse BozObama. We consider her a traitor and are not happy with her. She is not likely to get re-elected and sucking up for VP is her back-up plan. Furthermore, Tucson's city council boycotted Hillary when she came to Tucson. Then, they pandered to Michelle BozObama, who came to speak at a small theatre as an after thought, on a Monday afternoon. And, lastly, Bimbo Napalitano is certainly not on BozObama's list for VP. He's got bigger behinds to kiss in order to payback for endorseing him.
But, it doesn't matter. He hasn't got a hope in Hades of being President.
The health care situation is important or not depending on who you talk to. Right now I still work, I have a good health care plan and I would not jump into a socialized plan at the moment...but when I retire in January I will be without medical insurance until I turn 65 (3 more years) and even then it will be Medicare and iffy. To buy COBRA or private coverage for the interim will be extremely expensive. I am not sure how I will manage...I'll figure out some way...but for those of us who have worked all our lives and paid our taxes and paid into Medicare & Social Security for over 40 years, it would be nice to know that we AT LEAST don't have to worry about our health care. So...socialized medicine? Maybe there is no better answer. Don't know...I'm just sayin'...
Back to the original op. It looks like it will be a Obama/Clinton ticket. The media is already chatting about it.
