I am a motorcycle rider and heard that there is something in the law that states if you are at a red light and the signal doesnt recognize you, than if safe, you can proceed through the light.

I cant find this anywhere, does anybody else have some insight on this??

Never heard of it. I wouldn't do it.

Perhaps the light and yourself were not properly introduced.

LOL.

I think I know what the OP means, (what I call a "demand" light-- not sure that's the correct technical term) but I know of no such law. You would be the only one at that light, under those conditions, so I'd just move over to the right lane, turn right, and then make a U-turn when and where legal and safe, and head the way you wanted to go originally. I've had that happen even with a car.

the only legal left on red that I know of would be a one way to one way.

Not worth the risk, RGB . . . I'd try a different approach.

No such law. Whether or not a cop would A) stop you for doing it, and B) cite you after he/she heard your explanation is another matter. Most motor cops understand that bikes don't trigger lights...

It might not be a motor cop that stops the OP. I think he would get stopped, talking the cop out of the ticket is another matter.
