They arrest twice as many illegals because the county borders the Mexican border, and Tucson is in Pima county as well.

He is refusing to do his job, how can you claim otherwise? Like someone else said, we can't pick and chose what laws to follow.

How can you say he is not if he arrests more than Maricopa County with three times the population. The law as it stands calls for him to turn them over to Border Patrol. If he chooses not to trash the Bill of Rights he is following his Oath.

Obvious grandstanding for re-election! He must figure a majority of voters will back him on this. Remember "Segregation forever," etc.? Worked down South for a few years for the likes of George Wallace. Be interesting to see how it plays out.

PS - our land is not QUITE in Cochise County, but rather in extreme east Pima County. Still, I'm well aware of the issues and concerns and I'm not minimizing them.
Unlike you, I will wait until the new law is implemented to see if it is a bad piece of legislation, or not. Judging it before all the details on how it's going to be implemented are communicated, is way too premature.

Got it, part of J-6 is in Pima and part is in Cochise. It makes no difference.
In your other post you mentioned that you are not concerned about illegals or drug smugglers, so be it.

LOL

Idaho laws state most stupid weird 10 old legal rules online

I assume you jest.

All 58 states have old, ridiculous laws on the books. And your link mostly refers to municipalities.

Most illegals don't make it up to Phoenix, the population of Hispanics is much greater in the southern counties.

Good! I can't wait to see Arizona buckle at the knees on this law. They have no idea what kind of fight they're in for between now and August!

I mean that opponents of this law will continue to organize protests and whatever else is necessary to end this ridiculous legislation. Since the law isn't supposed to take effect until August, we have plenty of time!

You can protest all you want, this law isn't going anywhere. Too many people support it, and the only ones who oppose the law are illegals due to the fear of being deported.
