Do you think Arizona is becoming a better state or a worse state? Post your reasons or experiences as to why or why not. You can post pics to support your reasons if you want.

Better.

Arizona leads the country in attempting to do what's right for America, since America doesn't always move quickly enough to do things for itself.

Worse. AZ has gotten way too crowded and wants to act like it is still a backwater state. AZ is focused on promoting hate and prejudice instead of finding ways to improve its quality of life, economy, and attract business.

Well, all I can say to that is Arizona has attracted my business. The first thing I'll be doing is opening a small RV business when I get there. Probably hiring an employee as well.
It's much easier and cheaper to open a business there than here in Oregon. At least initially. My total tax burden will be about the same although we don't have a state sales tax here but the trade offs are well worth it.
One thing I'll miss in Oregon is full service gas stations. It's illegal here to pump your own gas.

Interesting.

Still, I doubt that even Oregon will ever see several guys rushing out to service a vehicle as Texaco used to do back when! Remember the scene in Back to the Future?

Well, no. Those days are long gone although it does happen now and then that a guy will wash your windshield but that's all. I guess I should have said "mini serve". They pump your gas. That's usually about it. But when it's pouring rain with temps in the 40's and 50's as it is most of the year here, not having to get out of the car is a good thing.

Arizona has gotten much worse since I left in 2006. It has become an oppressive police state.

Good grief you two! Open your eyes! If the wife didn't want to stay close to the kids and grandkids, I would have moved to Arizona 5 years ago. If you guys would have your way, you probably would want open borders. Then you would have the same open warfare that they now have just across the border. Arizona passed that controversal bill to improve the quality of life, economy, and to attract business. That doesn't sound like a backwater state to me!

I'm counting down the years til I can move there. And I am even more motivated seeing the latest positive laws and rights being granted to Arizonians.
