My wife and I are driving from Nashville, TN to Hot Springs for a few days in April and I would like to purchase some Lone Star Beer to enjoy during our stay. Does anyone know if Lone Star is available in Little Rock or Hot Springs, and where? Would prefer to buy long necks in 6 or 12-packs.

Sorry, but there is no Lone Star in L.R. or H.S. I talked to two different distributors and they both said no.

I just checked with another Lone Star distributor and it appears that L.S. is only distributed locally by the three and that's Fayetteville, Pine Bluff, and Texarkana. The distributor I talked to this AM said; "Oh my, he can find much better beer than Lone Star!" 'sor 'bout dat

Although I don't drink now, I remember Lone Star beer. It was a favorite and an icon back then.
Started in San Antonio around 1890 by the folks of Anheiser Busch.
But when Lone Star was made (sold out) by Olympia Brewing Co in 1976 and then Pearl Brewing- it tasted so bad, we went with cheaper beer that tasted better.
I think it is made in Forth Worth TX now by Pabst/Miller Brewing Co.

Today I wouldn't know a good beer if it hit me in the face. LOL.

It's more of a nostalgia thing more than anything. I grew up in San Antonio, lived there 50 years, and my dad was a huge LS fan - and it rubbed off on me.

I really appreciate the offer, but have friends in the Longview area that can help me out.
