I have a question regarding traffic on I-540 through Fort Smith. Are there certain times when it's not advisable to take that freeway or is traffic pretty good at all hours?

I haven't traveled it a thousand times, but I can't recall it ever being congested unless there was construction happening. Fort Smith's "burbs" are rather small and so the commuter traffic is, too.

As others have said, there is very little traffic holdups on 540 near Ft. SMith. Remember, Ft Smith is a buge urban spraw. It is really a pretty small city in the scope of things.
