What's the latest on this? I see signs around Weir road talking about spaces for a shopping center being for lease, but I haven't heard a thing otherwise. We really need a Barnes and Noble or Target. Both Wal-Mart and Hastings irritate me every time I go in, haha.

I'd like to know the answer to this too! I seen a couple of billboard type things on Weir Rd with maybe some construction information on them. Not sure, haven't pulled over to view.

Barnes and Noble would be nice. *sigh*

5 years ago I would have said you'd NEVER see and Barnes and Noble in Russellville. I'd have said the same thing about a Starbucks too and check it out now... You never know.

LOL! Everytime we pass through we stop in to help support them! Heaven help us if the only Starbucks on the planet to fail turns out to be the Russellville location!

Off and on topic, sorta....there's some money in R'ville, but there's also a huge contingent of blue colar and middle class workers. The comments I've heard are mostly in the "WHAAA??? $4 for a cup of COFFEE?" range. I wonder if that doesn't have to do more with the economics of the area? Although everything is going toward Parkway, I'd have thought they might make a bigger statement down closer to Arkansas and Main.
Although I have a Starbucks fetish when in Little Rock, I have yet to go here.

I haven't stopped to see about the new mall place either, but I'm not a fan of malls...Barnes and Noble? Another story! I'd be THRILLED, and I'd hope they would keep R'ville on their radar since there's NOTHING between LR and NWA. Of course, we said that before Hasting's, too...The new Wal Mart is nice as far as Wal Mart goes, but a Target would be even WAY better.
