Captain, have they narrowed down the times any further? This morning they were projecting that Tulsa would start experiencing the bad weather around noon, which I interpret to mean that Fayetteville will start seeing it around 2pm. Reasonable?

I've already filled the gas tank, checked the lanterns (batteries and oil), and the cupboard is stocked except for bread.

My readings show Tulsa Sallisaw and Fayetteville starting to get snow Early tomorrow and then ALOT of ice--one to one and a half inch of ice tomorrow evening. NWS even uses the phrase "no doubt of severe power outages that will go on for days!"

It shows on The Weather Channel to be a 70% chance of a wintry mix here in Mount Ida on Friday.... I hope it won't be anything much...

Local forecasts are saying one-half to one inch ice, and along the Missouri, Kansas, Arkansas borders possibly as much as a foot of snow/sleet. And power outages probable.

And I was a big, whiny-baby about the power being out last year. Better suck it up, this year, huh?

Y'all stay safe. Don't go out unless you absolutely have too.

This sucks.

Here I sit in an empty apartment in Hot Springs. All of my belongings and my family are supposed to arrive on Saturday from Fort Smith. I have a feeling that I will be sitting here in this empty apartment a few days longer than I had planned.
