rifleman: As usual, you nailed it. It reminds me of a Mark Twain story about going to a bank to try to get a loan. The banker had an artificial eye, and Twain stated that the banker had more human warmth and compassion in that eye than in all the rest of his body.

Unfortunately, all the variables with never be known, as there are things about us we don't know, and things about us, others don't know. That is probably half of the facts.

I guess the fact that I myself have never been sick is anomalous.
Sometimes you suspect someone of being a liar, other times it just leaps out at you....

Checkmate.
If god was alive, then GOD is the first life, and therefore couldn't have "created the first life" - DOUBLE checkmate.

See, you believers don't even have a MOVE, much less one that puts an atheist in CHECK, much less MATE. LOL - I love chess analogies.

And sometimes you jump to conclusions.

If I agree with you, then we'll both be wrong.

And the response would be 'The rules only apply to you - they don't apply to us.'

Which is why how to win an argument would require first that the believer agree to argue in accordance with the rules of logic and acceptance of the validity of the scientific method.

If they agree to that, they are sunk. If they don't, their beliefs are discredited

God did not create man, man created god.

No, because we are not wrong.

The church was the one pushing that thought, put people to death to say otherwise.

When are atheists going to report to internment camps? Because one of our founding documents here says the we are endowed by our Creator with certain inalienable rights. The right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

Since you don't believe in a Creator, you obviously don't have those rights, and should report to confinement to await death.

Death shouldn't matter to you, since "nothing" happens when you die.
Just like a christian to kill in the name of their "creator".
You know, most wars were fought over beliefs. Sad.
