Unfortunately, there is much emotional baggage connected to abortion especially when you look back at the history of Planned Parenthood. Despite my support for this organization, its roots do lie in eugenics and that meant sterilization and abortion for minorities. Sanger embraced Malthusian eugenics. Thomas Robert Malthus, a 19th-century cleric and professor of political economy, believed a population time bomb threatened the existence of the human race.

I do think that we need to figure out some way to get education to all people about birth control, abortion and family plannning.

Absolutely right! Of course it will fly in the face of much religious dogma. BTW, I support Planned Parenthood as well.
