That was great! Thanks for posting. I usually watch Maher's show every week that it is on but I somehow missed this.

"Atheism is a religion like abstinence is a sex position."

I wish I'd thought of that.

Very funny!

While I don't always agree with his extremist liberal views, on religion, he's right on the money.

Good-on-yah, Bill!

I can't think of anyone that explains it better than Bill Maher. Just about everything have been saying all these years, he hits the nail on the head! I really do think most overly religious people are less independent and weak in the mind to believe in a blind faith it's the strong mind that does not believe in magic. It's a little like winning the power ball ( 500'000,00 so far) many of these people really thank they have a good chance, if God wants them to get it. Many seem to spend a lot of time entering contests., along with the slots. What they're missing in their lives is the foratude to believe in themselves.

The vast majority of atheists actually subscribe to naturalism. Naturalism relies most heavily upon blind faith or unwarranted credulity and it's adherents hold to specific doctrines - much like 'religion.'

Again, 'religion' tends to be a loaded term.
