Hi,

I'm curious about how agnostics and atheists vote. Do you consider yourself a liberal or conservative?

Your poll is worded quite a bit differently than the question in your OP. The poll is asking for people's opinions about what they think are the political inclinations of agnostics. Those opinions may not be informed.

For those of us who consider ourselves agnostic atheists, we know better than to answer the poll as presently worded. Although we may be comfortable telling you which way we personally lean politically, we know that agnostics differ in their political leanings, so we aren't going to vote saying agnostics are liberals or conservatives.

Ask the poll question this way, "If you are agnostic, do you consider yourself to be liberal or conservative?"

I am a liberal, and I associate with a lot of liberal agnostic/atheists, but I have known a few conservative agnostic/atheists as well.

I'm agnostic, but am neither a conservative nor a liberal. I'm a Libertarian.

With respect to what?

Foreign policy? I'm neither conservative, nor liberal, nor neo-conservative, nor a neo-liberal institutionalist; I'm a constructivist.

Economically? I'm a liberal.

Politically? I'm an ultra-conservative.

Socially? I'm an ultra-conservative.

Considering...

Now, you've got me curious. What does each of those labels mean to you when used in those domains?

Why are there only 2 options? It is a black or white question when there should be shades of gray.

I am liberal on some things, conservative on others. I consider myself a moderate.

Do you mean fiscally conservative or socially conservative?
There needs to be a libertarian option.
I am fiscally conservative most of the time. For social things, it depends on the issue (liberal on most but definitely not all).

Me too, but I've voted liberal because I mostly vote with my anti-Moderator cut: deleted sentiments. I consider myself conservative because I want to conserve all the socialist things we have like roads, and I want to not waste money, a strong and moral military, etc. I mean, I barely know what these words even mean today, but I know I'm against the Republicans and what they do. So I'll choose liberal on this poll, as an agnostic.
