I don't get it either. I mean, we never lie, we're always right, and we know everything.

What's not to love?

Huh? Atheists are no more misunderstood than any other group.

Why do you care if anyone "understands" you. You are free to live you life however you choose.

All kidding aside, I appreciate you humanizing us. We do get a fair bit of dehumanizing and stereotyping, although, as charlygal points out, no more or less really than any other minority group gets from those accustomed to privilege of the majority.

Well we appreciate you right back Miss Hepburn.

Like anything it's ignorance mostly. I don't mean that in a horrible way, just in the literal sense. Most of these guys with preconceived ideas about atheists wouldn't know one if they fell over one. I know it seems unlikely in this day and age, but that seems to be the case.

Yeah, but doesn't preconceived notions go both ways? It's not ignorance. It's just a ...difference. Most Christians don't even think about atheists. At least not like one would think.

IDK. It's 2015. It's all been said before. I don't know the OP's intention in starting this thread. I hope it's not another Christian bashing thread. Who needs that?

Atheists can support each other without bashing other groups.
