Hi,

I am moving from a college town a few hours north of Atlanta where driving ANYwhere seems to be my main activity. I've lived in Midtown and Virginia Highlands previously in my 20's. I am thinking of a luxury apt or townhouse situation for myself as the child is raised and I'll be on my own...questions as follows:

What part of Atlanta should I consider living? I work 3 days a week in Johns Creek. So, thinking Brookhaven, Buckhead or Midtown (with access to 400) might be possibilities.

What areas of Atlanta offer the most for an active single (like running) who'd like an opportunity to meet men, have a social life and still be somewhat close to lots of food, shopping, restaurant options? The Suwanee, Johns Creek, Alpharetta areas seem way too young and family oriented for me to get invites to parties, dates, etc.

My price range is 1200-1600/mo for a rental. I'm tired of being a homeowner -- too much upkeep, ready to be totally unencumbered and renting seems the right thing to do. Thanks!

Interesting question.

I don't have a good answer but perhaps the Lenox area is a good match. You could use Peachtree Industrial Blvd as well as 400.

Is Lenox road nice and safe place to live?

Look at post #3 and send the poster a DM. She has been very helpful and is very knowledgeable about the metro Atlanta area.

Also, contact Pro Move apartment locator service and let them begin searching for you.
