Hello,

Where can I find activities (especially sports) for kids, age 4-5. I don't know where in the city (metro ATL area) could i find either soccer, baseball, or basketball for my son.

Any recommendation will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

If you could identify the part of the metro area in which you are located/interested posters could respond more specifically. The local Y's would be one resource for locating recreational/sports activities. Each county has a Parks/Recreation department with a website.

Our son plays soccer at TYSA, which is in Tucker. Very well-run organization, cost is reasonable and we've made good friends. Tucker Youth Soccer Association They have both fall and spring soccer, but we've only played in the fall. Our son also plays baseball in the spring at Sandy Springs. Sandy Springs Youth Sports - SSYS Baseball AAA League This is another well-run organization. Facilities are absolutely top-notch. I've seen pro teams that don't have it as good. But be warned it's more pricey. It seems that DeKalb county is the place for soccer, and Gwinnett county is the place for baseball, but I might be off on that.

More than anything we wanted good coaching and instruction as well as sound principles of good sportsmanship. Frankly we also wanted organizations that weren't full of crazy parents. Both of these organizations fit the bill, and I really enjoy them.
