My husband and I are thinking about having kids, and we're trying to see how much our budget will be stretched. We are both teachers so we would only need child care during the school year. I've seen a few posts that give prices, but they may be outdated now. I would like to know how much I can realistically expect to spend on child care. I know it varies, but what's the average? And how does it work if I take them out for the summer? Are the prices adjusted for things like that? Would it be cheaper to go with a Nanny? And what's "nanny sharing?" How does it work? Sorry! Lots of questions!

Thanks! That does help! Are there any teachers out there who have had experience with only needing childcare for part of the year?
