The Forest Park Farmers market is a good time. Great for landscaping needs - and during the season local farm goods. Plus any kind of holiday decorating needs (Christmas trees, Haybales, Cornstalks, pumpkins) - that's the place to go.

Depents on where you are in Clayton and your Childrens age range. If you dont have Kids and not worried about schools you can find a GREAT piece of property for you Money in Ellenwood, the South Clayton area close to Henry or Fayette Counties hands down.... North Clayton: Forest Park, College Park, North Riverdale, Different Story all together.

I think there are some very nice homes on Forest Park's southside (or even the North Avenue/ College Street corridor just north of downtown Forest Park). Many cute and even a few slightly upscale neighborhoods in Morrow and Lake City would fit the bill. Of course there is Historic downtown Jonesboro or larger semi-rural feels to the Clayton County Panhandle and even parts of far eastern sections of Rex or Ellenwood. Heck, there are even some really nice communities in the Bethesda Road/ 314 corridor on Riverdale's Westside.

I went to the farmers market early on yesterday but they didn't have many vendors. I was told to come back once it warms up

I just drove through Forest Park once. It looked like a run down Doraville. A little poor, but didn't seem unsafe like Stone Mountain does.
