I remember once or twice a year you would hear about a rash of car break-ins, like some guys would come and hit a few cars in one night. They eventually decided to hire an overnight guard to walk the grounds and I think that helped with that.

I was always parked there when it happened and was never affected, so I'm guessing that it hit people who did dumb stuff like leaving electronics in plain sight and stuff like that. I always came home late from work, so I got the further away parking spots which would have been easier targets, but I still never had an issue. None of my friends had issues either because we all know not to leave valuables in plain sight in an unattended vehicle. When I would go to the pool, or across the street to the park I never even bothered locking my door. I'm not suggesting that you not lock your door, but I did and never had any problem. The complex is well lit and fairly dense, so it would be difficult to pull off an actual home invasion there.

I don't know the names of any complexes on Pharr Road, I just remember seeing them when I would drive by. They are probably cheaper but lesser quality.

Post Lenox Park (if that's what it's still called, I'm not sure) is also in Lenox Park and a bit cheaper because it's older and has the garden style layout.

People always have more reason to go to those sites to say something bad than good, same thing for restaurant/hotel reviews as well. You can sort through a complex that has 20 or so reviews and get a decent feel which ones are good and bad but you need to see for yourself. Visit the place at night and during the day a couple of times before you take a place to see things like noise level, the sort of people living there etc. In Atlanta you generally want to avoid the 1st and top floors of most complexes if at all possible (obviously a problem if its a 2 story complex). There is a serious roach problem in Atlanta (similar to Florida), even some of the newest complexes in the best areas of town where you have clean and neat young professionals the apartments can be infested. Due to the hot spring and summers they live outdoors a sizeable portion of the year, they will 100% invade your residence with regularity if you live on the first floor. The top floor is a problem because your A/C-electric bill will be through the roof in summer. Hence, aim for a 2nd floor apartment in a 3 story complex if at all possible, you will cut back on your bug problem to a reasonable degree and electricity costs.
