Full employment is 4-6% so getting below that is not considered possible. Why would you not believe real job growth, thats the first step to lower unemployment right.

Remember as job numbers start growing more people who left the work force start looking for a job again and so the unemployment rate my stay the same for a while. This is still a step in the right direction and an important part of the process to getting all those who lost jobs back to work.

What kind of jobs? Atlanta is #2 in the growth of Target cashiers, while Houston is #1 in the growth of educated professionals. How do I know this? Because real income continues to decline in Atlanta.

No stats in front of me but the jobs I see are professional types - Accountants, Engineers etc. Job searches for these type of jobs yield tons of jobs as well. Also recruiters have been reporting serious pickup in these fields for at least the last 6 months.

Even in the best of times, unemployment hovers around 5%. "Low single digits" would actually not be a good thing.

IT jobs are in demand, we can't hire a new DBA for anything, they have too many options. Reason being, they want to work North of downtown.
