I'll be in Atlanta for a wedding in a few weeks and wanted to get some opinions on the best breakfast places to go to on a Sat morning. I'll be staying on Century Blvd NE and am looking for a place that locals would go to as opposed to a chain restaurant like a Waffle House. Not looking to spend too much maybe around $15-$20 for an adult meal and family friendly would be good because I'll have kids with me. Thanks!

I like the Thumbs Up Diner and the Flying Biscuit. Both have a few locations -- I'm not sure if any of them will be close to where you will be.

Flying Biscuit is now a chain but was started in the Atlanta area. Investors in the original restaurant included Emily Sailors of the Indigo Girls

I second highland bakery! Their french toast looks incredible, although i havent eaten it myself. Although if you want to go to the west side of town, west egg cafe is good and American roadhouse on highland has pretty great waffles.

Have to second Murphy's although there is typically an hour wait. J Christophers is absolute *rap and you might as well go to Ihop of waffle house.
