I second Grant park. If your looking for Cival war stuff it is definatley a place you want to check out. Also you can go to the Zoo while you are there.

Even though you are here for gone with the wind, don't let that stop you from checking out our other attractions that have nothing to do with gone with the wind.

If your able to i would also suggest stone mountain.

Like the others said, you're not really going to find much "Old South" in Atlanta. If you really want to see some historic and beautiful old mansions, I would check out Madison, GA, about 45 minutes East of the city.

The Georgian Terrace, where many of the stars stayed when they came to Atlanta for the GWTW premiere, is still a hotel and still operating. Yes, it's been updated since the 1930s! Georgian Terrace Hotel

Two suburbs cater to GWTW visitors. In Jonesboro (south of Atlanta), you can visit the Road to Tara Museum.

Marietta, northwest of the city, offers the Marietta Gone With the Wind Museum, also known as "Scarlett on the Square."

Have fun!
