Then I am not sure how John's Creek topped the list. Commuting from there is pretty horrible.

Still, not surprising that JC is awarded "best suburb". Because that's all it really is: one giant suburb.

Is it me or does the Atlanta Business Chronicle seem to be in a drought of newsworthy stories to publish?

I didn't know they had to resort to publishing "top 10" style lists I guess they weren't exempt from readers getting their news from free online sources and they had to resort to this kind of rubbish to stay relevant.

Johns Creek is the best place for Georgia suburbanites to dwell, according to a study by Coldwell Banker Real Estate LLC and Onboard Informatics.
Yeah, can't think of a more unbiased opinion than from a Real Estate company in one of the few areas where real estate is actually selling.

It could be because of schools and family oriented. Schools are very good, all 3 Johns Creek high schools (Northview, Johns Creek, Chattahoochee) are in various top 10 lists. On the negative side, commuting is bad

Interesting that Roswell High is ranked highly in terms of SAT and ACT scores, but not even on the list for UGA/Tech enrollment or Atlanta magazine "top 10". Why the discrepancy? What is the reputation of Roswell High school? I don't hear much about it.

John's Creek is just soulless in my eyes. Subdivisions, and shopping, with 4 lane roads intersecting it all. No thanks.

I would call JC a very desirable place particularly for transplants who move here. The "best" lists are always subjective anyway.

I agree about JC's commute, it is really bad if you work in-town during rush hours, just too far of a commute.

Johns Creek being a suburb still makes me laugh. It is truly an exurb.

I agree the developers could have done much better things with the land they purchased. Oh and the traffic it makes living in Buckhead feel like you are in the country.
