I used Schooldigger.com to see how the city of decatur schools ranked and the elementary schools arent even on the list and the high school is near the bottom. Can someone explain? I did not think it would be the case.

Where do you get near the bottom? It is in the top quarter, remember it educates a fairly diverse population at the high school level.

Most of their schools seem to be there.

Schooldigger sucks, I really don't understand why anyone looks at it. If you search under 'Decatur' it doesn't bother to separate Decatur City from the big swathe of unincorporated Dekalb that goes under a 'Decatur' mailing address. Two entirely different school systems, kind of like putting all the metro schools under 'Atlanta', regardless of whether they are in the city or not. And school digger doesn't list FAVE (the 4th/5th academy where every kid in the city goes) at all. It doesn't exist, apparently...
City of Decatur just ranked in the top 3 for all metro school systems. Scores mixed on state exams for metro Atlanta students *| ajc.com.
If you look at the link that lastminutemom posted above then almost all Decatur city schools are listed - there are only 8 including pre-K. Someone else posted a link to the latest results today so you can search under Decatur city or the individual school names.
