Sell it to TV production company or build dense, mixed-use development on the site. Both would do well with at the location with the interstate connectivity and MARTA being 3-4 blocks away.

An exact replica of this, so the Atlanta Opera can return to downtown, where it belongs:

Yeah, it was an expensive scene, but worth it.

I kind of like it. Looks like soft serve ice cream cone. Chickfila should consider sponsoring it. Maybe something like the Icedream Performing Arts Center.

No, no, no... That was a completely different building.

Your humor receptors are off. Didn't you watch the show? Does the inside of the building on the show look like a theatre to you?

Well yes of course. They used the building for exterior shots obviously. It wasn't really blown up. Wait ... huh?

(Now if they herded all the walkers into the Ga Dome and then blew it up, that would at least be a good use of the building.)

I'd say it's time to get rid of the Civic Center. It wasn't all that great to begin with and it hasn't improved over the years.

While the idea of converting it to a sound stage has some merit, sound stages are by definition big clunky boxes that belong on a studio lot or in a more industrial type area. The current location could support a much better use.

Why not turn into a park or a farmers market for the time being? If someone comes along with another idea it could be redeveloped down the road.
