Atlanta's longitudinal configuration makes it difficult to define areas by how far they are from, say, Woodruff Park. I tend to consider anything along Peachtree up to perhaps Phipps as part of the core.
Brookwood or Lindbergh, along with perhaps Underwood Hills residents are on the fringe and perhaps can argue they are core, even though they live on a suburban street grid. Druid Hills and Buckhead are suburban in nature, like Cumberland area or Perimeter area. North Buckhead may as well be Vinings. It's only Atlanta by name. Same with Cascade on the West side.

Inner Core= early streetcar suburbs?
Cobb had streetcars and commuter rail once. I don't think streetcars is a valid delineation. Look at areas like Mechanicsville and Summerhill, Grant Park, Adair Park and West End. That's core.

Ansely: The Prado in Ansley Park - I would give you that it's core. Some of Ansley Park isn't, however.

There was a streetcar from Atlanta to Marietta. That does not make Marietta a streetcar suburb, since it was its own little town not dependent on Atlanta.
