I've been keeping it at 75 during the day, and shutting it off altogether when I get home (opening doors and windows), for weeks now. However, I live in a loft-style apartment, so it's still gotten too warm occasionally--I like it cool for sleeping--so last night was the first one I turned it off to go to sleep.

I really don't like air conditioning, so I'm usually inclined to turn it on later in the season and off earlier.

We keep it on. I would never sleep with my windows open; seems unsafe with our bedroom on the main level. I also don't want to let the allergens into my house.

2 weeks ago, we were fine with open windows and no AC. We're running the AC during the day at the moment.

Yep. We tried the open windows thing last week. Skeeters still out! Gotta get some screens for the windows...

Tonight is especially cool but I have no complaints whatsoever. With the windows open, I've been going without a/c for about two weeks. I started running the fan during the day which probably is some bass ackwards thinking that racks up a higher power bill. I will say that in addition to the breeze, the open windows (while screened) have let some weird looking bugs in the house.

And as a side note - I don't do bugs.

This is week two for us. Even though we have that wonderful thermostat. The temperatures are so nice these days, that I don't know why anyone is still using their A/C. It gets cold at night (enough to need that nice down duvet) and although we get some warming during the afternoon due to full sun, it still leaves the house nice and comfortable. I am guessing that the trick-or-treaters aren't going to be freezing this year.

I thought all windows in the south were screened. Learned something new.
