How many inches of snow do you think we will get this winter?

I'm hoping we get 3 inches….enough to shut the city down

That sounds good as long as it is in the middle of the week and the streets are clear by the weekend so it does not mess with any of my plans!

4-6".
If the average is 2-3" and we didn't get squat last winter, I'm going with 4-6".

I want this to happen again. That would be five. Five Inches. Even three would be okay. None of that "snow dust" stuff...

I think I'd rather have the ice storm again. I was off from work for 3 days

Many winter predictions by many well-know mets. have the southeast region(particularly, the Atlanta area) as having below average temperatures and above average precipitation. Storm tracks have many lows sliding across the northern Gulf coast which are favorable for storm systems to bring enough cold air aloft to bring the 0 c temperature gradient to the Atlanta area and thus turning any rain to snow.

What would really depend on if we get snow is blocking in the arctic, particularly Greenland and riding out in the west to funnel artic cold air down south.

Atm, I'm predicting we will get a 2 snow events, one minor one with .5-2 inches of snow across the metro and a more major snow event that will produce anywhere from 3-8 inches across the metro area.

So my final total are around 3-8 inches of snow across the metro depending on where you are with northern metro areas getting snow the other areas.

Hopefully some snow. Less days of work, the better.

Hey, at least we will get a chance to see if there is any truth to global warming and with any luck , we will get some here in January.....but.....I......Digress.........on a brighter note, we will be able to demonstrate to New Yorkers how to prepare for impending, inclement weather. Apparently they struggle with this...
