I think Lakeside should give up its share of the Tucker area but I think a cityhood is a good thing for the area and so something with about Lakeside's footprint should exist. I think Druid Hills fits better with the COA (along with part of the neighborhood that is already COA). Thus I don't like The City of Briarcliff's boundaries.

Agreed.

Less division, more regional cooperation.

Here we go again..Will someone eventually wake up and smell the coffee??..Gosh as much as I love Atlanta Metro Area..These suburbs just doing a lot..That's why I favor DFW/Houston suburbs because it's more regional cooperation than division. Either they annex within the city or an existing suburb..

I support small government and local control.

Who wants to be subject to a bunch of out of touch bureaucrats located far away who know nothing about your community and are not accountable to it?

I agree. Who would want to be governed by a bunch of Lakeside beaurocrats who think Lakesides's borders extend all the way to the parking lot of Tucker High School? How out of touch can one get?

I would support Tucker it they want to form their own city.

If they feel strongly about it I am surprised they haven't already done so.
