Cobb was #1 for unaffordable urban areas to rent in the U.S. Dekalb and Gwinnett were also in the top 10.

This is based on rent compared to income. So San Francisco and NYC don't beat Cobb, apparently, since people there make more.

Wow, I didn't agree until I saw the numbers. Based on ELI I can agree with this, somewhat. I still find these area EXTREMELY affordable considering I'm a former NYer. And believe me, people make low incomes in NY, also, so they have nowhere to go.

It's called being objective and covering all angles. You're upset that I'm not pushing an agenda?

I swear it seems like the national press loves nothing more than to whale on the poor old ATL.

Lol, every day I see:
"Metro Atlanta, the king of sprawl"

then occasional "Metro Atlanta, not so sprawly anymore", but not enough of this.

I think media people just want to always feel like the kings of new-urbanism, wherever they live (typically NYC or LA) and put down other cities. It'd be nice if they spent some time in metro Atlanta, so they'd really know it.
