Thank you for asking that. I've been wondering the same thing for a few years but felt sorta uncool since I thought I was the only one that didn't know!

Ansley, whenever you start thinking you are the only person who doesn't know something just remember there's always me.

Nice.

I think Medlock, Clairmont Heights, and Emory Parc would be good additions to the CoA as well.

There is actually some support among the DeKalb County Commission for annexation. What they vehemently oppose is the creation of more new cities as they are already getting burned by Brookhaven over the services provided to them. The city, faced with a locked-in tax base, is balking at the cost and refusing to pay what they are being billed. It puts the citizens of unincorporated DeKalb in a position of subsidizing Brookhaven. Some commissioners are deeply concerned that this situation will repeat itself with a Briarcliff or Lakeside.

Is that refusal by Brookhaven to pay getting nasty & possible heading toward litigation? I haven't followed the goings on betweeen the county & that newly created city closely enough to know.
If so, this could get very interesting & catch the attention of folks involved in other cityhood movements.

I really don't how far south it's gone at this point, but this could be a problem for the cityhood movements if it starts getting media traction.
