Move to Sandy Springs. Close to the Sandy Springs and North Springs MARTA stations.

Atlanta is getting pretty expensive as well and its really crowded as well its overpopulated and they have bad traffic. Atlanta is becoming the NYC of the South. I love Atlanta but it you want a city to get away from the hectic lifestyle I would recommend Charleston, SC, Savannah GA or if you want a bigger city Nashville TN.

Sandy Springs is a good starting point. Mix of urban and suburban. Close to Marta which is good since you can't drive yet. Not as expensive as other areas. Will you be working at a physical location at all or is it 100% online?

How much you want to spend per month?

Based off what u said I recommend Sandy Springs, Lindbergh, Chamblee

BTW don't pay attention to the trolls saying Atlanta is NYC. That might be the most stupid statement I heard this year.

I will advice this.... learn to drive as as possible. This isn't to say one can't get by without a car here, but to say you will losing out on many options in both day to day amenities and possible places to live if you don't.

Apartment prices are through the roof right now, especially in areas closer to town with MARTA access. I'd stick to the Perimeter area. Although Lindbergh and Chamblee aren't bad places to look either.

For a 2 bedroom you will probably be looking at $1,100 to $1,400/month, but the cheaper side of that won't necessarily be sitting right on top of the MARTA station.

Be a bit careful with Chamblee... there are two sides to Chamblee the older working middle class neighborhoods that are becoming nicer and the area near Buford highway. That area you will find the apartment complexes 75+% hispanic/mexican and may (or may not) feel out of place.

For apartments, there are a lot of decent affordable apartments around the North Springs station.

I'd look intown too. I'm not convinced that Sandy Springs or Buckhead would be the right choice for you. Midtown, Virginia Highlands, Decatur or Inman Park may be better choices.

For everyone here: City Atlanta is nothing like NYC city life. So, if you hear someone from NYC say they are tired of city life, don't just jump and recommend someone from NYC switch to something like Sandy Springs, which is almost rural in comparison to suburbs of NYC, and less walkable than them. Intown Atlanta inside the Belt Line is very similar to suburban NYC (places like Hoboken). Plus, Sandy Springs is just not walkable enough for someone without a car.

ATL without a car is a big challenge. I would think twice about that.
