"Greenhaven was chosen from more than a dozen possible names, including New Phoenix, Mountain View, Granite City, Sky City, New DeKalb, Candler City and New Haven.

Greenhaven joins several other potential cities that may be considered by the Georgia General Assembly during this year’s legislative session.

Greenhaven is a much better name than South DeKalb.

If it does indeed become a city, it will be the second-largest in the metro area.
