One of my faves. I did love the lush environments they filmed a lot of those episodes in. Vancouver must be an awesome city to film. Everything outside of the heroin junky district looks so beautiful.

I was disappointed when they moved to LA. I've seen LA in so many movies and TV shows. Vancouver gave the show a special atmosphere.

If that coincides with when Duchovny left the show, that would explain a lot about my viewership.

It's a no-brainer, despite the naysayers.

yes. all the other noise is pretty much whining about something someone can't control for no immediately apparent reason.

A good friend of mine has been an extra for two weeks now on a film here. She is blown away by the big names from production to talent, and thinks this will be the blockbuster hit of 2016.

All she would tell me is that it's an adaptation of a John Steinbeck story, and they are filming all over the far-South metro area.

Low wages for industry workers? Pray, tell me...what do you think an average wage is for a set electrician? A costumer? A grip? Even a greensman or a carpenter? Don't trot out PAs as your reference, because they are a minute fraction of a movie crew.

So yeah, how much do you think industry workers make here? And how they are having a hard time paying the rent?

Really? I know a lot of Georgians. I specifically know a lot who work in the film industry. And you know what? Their incomes have more than doubled in the past few years. They went from being just standard stagehands working for crappy companies like Crew One (look up their issues) to making 2-3 times as much PLUS benefits working in TV and film.

And, the state is garnering massive amounts of economic benefits. Do you seriously deny this?

You're right. It has impacted me in a big way. In the past three weeks, I have had some 5-6 different productions call me to work, all of them offering incredibly good wages. I'd like to see some of your answers above before i go into more detail.

^This.

And by coincidence, today we learn that the first anchor of the GM redevelopment in Doraville is another studio.
