You switched the point. I said many states can't compete with GA in choice of locations. Using logic, there's nothing in my statement that contradicts the statement that several states can compete. So what are you saying was wrong?

Georgia is not anywhere close to arid. Even relative to Vancouver (which it isn't anyway). Hartsfield gets more rain than Vancouver's airport. North Vancouver is similar in rainfall to extreme NE Ga in the mountains. And that was one scene, not the whole series. Which ended up being moved to California later anyway.

Exactly. Happening more and more. They are threatened.

Give up, dear. They're determined to make this a bad thing.

I know some other states, one of the Carolinas I think, had a pretty good film production base and it began to move away when the tax subsidies dried up.

Did this state or any of the others have as much infrastructure as we are getting here? Pinewood looks serious, they are expanding in a big way and are also a part of a huge new development (retail, residential, offices, trade school) coming into Fayetteville.

It seems like the growth we are getting here is more rooted than a fly by night industry would be. Does the investment we are getting in the metro mirror what former filming hot spots received in the past?

Did you ever watch the Vancouver X-Files episodes? They were very drizzly.

Show me evidence of this. I get the impression that the film industry is here to stay.

That's what I'm asking for.

It seems like they are building permanent infrastructure. I'm just curious to see ia other states that the industry has left had a matching level of investment /development.

I think it is here to stay for a while, but I don't trust these guys either. I'm particularly interested as I get the feeling that my hometown's future may be staked too much on it if this industry isn't here to stay.

No, I clarified the difference between CA's interests and states that are not CA.

I noted that several states offer what GA does.... with the exception of subsidies which GA now offers more.

How old are you? People call this out for what it is, but you just want to turn the other way for irrational reasons.
