It's curious that things escalated to a lawsuit. I guess in a way I can see their frustration of having to come to work so early and not getting paid for it.

Of course, that’s the point of working, to earn a living for yourself.I sure wouldn't be working anywhere for free.

That's the thing though...can someone really make that argument if they are bringing home over 100,000 a month (this is an assumption). My whole thing is that this should have been nipped in the bud from the beginning. If you want the bar to be open, that's fine but the dancers shouldn't have been required to come so early. If I were a dancer, I wouldn't necessarily mind coming a little early because sometimes the early customers might tip a lot more because all the undivided attention is on them. They could have made it optional as well as they could have required that they come later and make this known via the contract. Actually come to think of it, if they really did open at 6 p.m., that was quiet foolish of them to expect the dancers to come so early. Most people might want to come home shower and then go to the strip club. I'm curious as to how empty the place was at 6. They could have also done something where if they don't get a customer, then they get paid x amount for x hours.

This could be another example of how brazen GA employers are towards wage theft. I guess I forgot how bad this crime is here.
