You might also want to consider the part of Spalding Drive Elementary that feeds into the Ridgeview/Riverwood cluster.

The more I think about it the more confused I become. If you see a woman looking confused driving around Dunwoody, EC and SS this weekend, it may be me ;-)

Default update?

OP, I found this thread while researching Dunwoody vs. East Cobb. I have so many of the same thoughts as you, and I am so confused. What did you end up doing?? We are currently new to the area and renting in East Cobb...

Well, we learned a lot! And we ended up moving to Roswell! We've always loved it with the great restaurants on Canton Street and we found a place bikeable to Canton Street. We found East Cobb to be 150K more than comparable houses in Roswell. We were able to get a great place with our own pool, which we could not find in the same price point as East Cobb. I think we made a great decision. It's got a "small town" feel. The schools are great all through HS and we don't have to drive to get to good entertainment/restaurants. http://www.city-data.com/forum/newre...e=1&p=42852588

Ok thank you, good to know! Roswell is also on my list, as it seems to have more character than East Cobb. Are you zoned for Roswell High?

TONS of character and charm. We love it! We are zoned Roswell North Elementary, Crabapple Middle and Roswell High. All within a mile or so of the house. I also liked that RHS was smaller than a lot of East Cobb schools. My son and daughter love it. The parks and recs dept is great. My friend lives in East Cobb and spends all her time over here with sports, restaurants etc. The schools are great. I am glad we went this direction.

We ride our bikes with the kids to Canton Street for ice cream. Feels like vacation!

Thank you so much, this really renews my interest in Roswell! Seems like a good compromise between ITP living and East Cobb, which is kind of what I'm looking for.

Come look around one late afternoon. Make reservations at the Salt Factory or Table and Main on a Fri or Sat night. Grab a glass of wine at Vin 25 and sit on the patio or by the fire. You'll love it!
