I am a 26 year old photographer (that's also in to Art) from Brooklyn NY thinking about moving to Atlanta. And would like to know is there any good hip/hipster like neighborhoods in Atlanta that would fit my lifestyles.

You're not a hipster if you call yourself a hipster

Follow where living walls is and that will give you a good idea of where the "hip" parts of town are.

I don't call myself a"hipster" I'm using the term so people can understand.

Default Hipster area

Little Five Points is the best fit. Downtown Decatur is also worth a look. Both areas have lots of restaurants and nightlife. Both are also expensive. East Point and Hapeville are on the rise if you are looking for a deal.

Check out Reynoldstown, East Atlanta Village, & the Old Fourth Ward.

Reynoldstown has the best MARTA access and the lowest price point for a neighborhood that's right on (and surrounds) the Beltline. East Atlanta Village has a nice mix of walkable retail/restaurant/residential and an independent spirit but it's more disconnected from the rest of the city. Old Fourth Ward is great on all fronts but it's pretty expensive.

Decatur is so expensive that it is turning into a playground for the upper middle class. There are few non-6 figure households left.

The neighborhoods that surround Little 5 Points are trending that way, also.

The advice on this board is simply baffling sometimes.

This is the correct answer. Decatur too.

Check out in-town east-side neighborhoods including L5Ps and others mentioned above.

But East Atlanta Village is probably our best bet.
