So it's just now reaching what Penn Station in New York, and many other train stations, have reached for years now? Whoop-de-doo.

geez so negative.

When Penn Station has dozens of non-stop options to Europe within 8 hours, I'll be impressed.

daily commuters and distance travelers aren't necessarily the same thing, otherwise statistics of people on the interstate is what would really be impressive.

This is one of the great things about our city, why fight it?

All the media pundits were suggesting Beijing would leave Atlanta in the dust years ago. Congratulations to Atlanta for staying on top!

I'm not trying to be negative and I wish Hartsfield would stay on top as much as anyone, but Beijing and Dubai are again narrowing the gap. Jan-Mar figures showed Atlanta less than 3 million ahead of Beijing and a little bit more ahead of Dubai. However, both Dubai and Beijing were growing faster. We will just have to wait and see. At some point it's going to lose the title if and until it expands again. The way the 3rd world cities are growing and their air traffic is growing makes it hard for any one place to sustain "#1" for very long.

What's the population of Dubai and Bejing?
ATL has always been a busy airport. Always will be as long as delta remains.
I could care less about the distinction it has. Tickets didn't go on sale. Baggage fees won't be waived. Just a distinction that really doesn't impact the traveler going through.
