Oh well, it's funny the superintendent is calling for the city of Decatur to annex for them to find space to construct new school(s). Meanwhile, the city officials of Decatur have still said they don't want to annex anymore residential properties.

But I'd be OK with this plan (with much smoother borders).
I think this should happen as well, but agree with you that some blocks need to be re-thought. That big blue chunk to UC north or their most recent annexations should all be Atlanta. The other odd configuration is Fairburn gerrymandering around that southern spur of Union City. It is almost completely cut off from the rest of Fairburn. That chunk should go to UC and College Park.

Fairburn ought to have more of the area that is closer to its center that is earmarked for Palmetto. Palmetto, if it really wants to grow already extends into Coweta. They can grow southward into northern Coweta if they want to be more than the small town they are now. And their weird chunk they took that should have been Chattahoochee Hills is awkward as well, but that has already been done.

But by and large, something like this should happen and a corresponding thing done for DeKalb... other than the weird concept of Greenhaven. Shrink the scope of both Fulton and DeKalb counties as municipal services providers and back to the job of being basic counties like they should have been all along.

Yep.

For those that know, the road to "success" began in 1986.
