Thank you Metro Atlanta.... you're awesome!!!!

When we came down, we fell in love with the city and after extensive research bought our house before getting ourselves situated (had the home but was working in NYC) down here. It is SOOO easy to do everything online lol.

Now we LOVEEE coming home after work, shooting a few rounds in the backyard and can't think of ANYWHERE else we would want to be ...and it's OTP in the supposed "BAD" part. People even implied because my Husband was Asian he would have an issue here...NOPE, all the folk were very friendly to both of us (Hey to the Nigerian Doctor that lives next door and Our Guatemalan Farmer friend...you guys rule- but you're both probably never going to see this lol).

How many of you picked up and just bought into the Metro with initially NO prospects or not knowing anyone? Did you find your dream home right away? Did you wished you rented first before buying a home?

What do you miss about your old area? What about your new area do you love?

I will say this, my only pet peeve and it's my fault- I took the subway and LIRR for granted...Marta is COOL, but those stations need to make it down farther south.

What I love- Looking outside and being able to see the stars, the peace and quite and how cheep the homes are (with LAND ) AND The Publix ... I'm not buying OJ for$8.00/Carton WHAT?? Cool beans, cool beans .

This City has stolen my heart.

This is a good thing to hear! I am looking to relocate to Atlanta if I can land a job! I currently live in Phoenix and relocated here in 2007 when it was booming. Now I can't find a job that is outside of teaching which I left in May because I am ready to change my career.

I've been meaning to make a trip to check out Peachtree city and will have to check out Fairburn while I'm in the area.

Welcome and glad you're enjoying Atlanta! Us natives are very friendly, you can tell when you run into someone that is rude or unfriendly they're usually from the northeast, no offense lol.
