Making the businesses directly pay for MARTA is not going to make those businesses happy. And that's the very last thing we want.

Because let's be real, the only chance that MARTA expansion has, is if the business community rallies for it. With the backwards state of our politics, that's the only way we ever get anything good to happen in Georgia, is if the CEO's come out in support (or come out against bad stuff, like the 'Religious Freedom' act).

I must say I am amazed at how upset some transit advocates get about the suggestion that Big Business should participate in helping to fund MARTA.

What makes the big corporations sacrosanct?
I am personally not upset that you are suggesting big business help pay for transit, however I think it's strange that you only express this view when it comes to transit funding. Your actions come across as being detracting in nature toward transit progress.

With all due respect, I do not recall you beating the same dead horse when it comes to highway and road funding. I ask again, do businesses not benefit from highway and road funding?
