Sorry man, but MiBarrio is absolutely garbage. They serve (bad) texmex. Large burritos in a flour tortilla filled with ground beef and re-fried beans. Yuck. Don't even get me started on their "tamales". And for the prices they charge, they could at least give you a real plate.

Try nearby Mezcalito's instead.

That's the trend I think I'm seeing here: For Profit vs. For Charity.

I've been to A Taste of The Highlands quite a few times, where the money goes to Childrens Healthcare of Atlanta. It's crowded, but not terribly so, the food is great, and I got in for free since my dad volunteered for the festival (lucky me!). It just generally seems to be a better experience...

I would go to it before I'd go to a taco festival. I love mac and cheese.

When you have a city with no culture, and you have to manufacture festivals as a commercial product, what else did you expect?

If Lobster Fest is a real thing, this city has officially lost it.

Tried them when they were located in Oakhurst, not impressed.

People say the Grant Park location is better than Oakhurst. I've never been to the Oakhurst location, but I go to one in GP occasionally. It's pretty good. Cool building. Nothing special, though.

I would expect nothing less from an event in Atlanta. The 40 buck admission fee? That was their best move, to cut back on the amount of riff raff that are going to show up and spend nothing. Just get in the way. Man, as soon as I had saw this advertised, I would have immediately passed on it.

Can't have this kind of "culture" in the deep south.
